Art Expo

Its been another busy time in the Art department. We recently hosted our annual Art Expo and are so proud of the art our children are producing.

Winter in the Art room

I  am quite shocked to see that it has been 2 months since I posted anything here. The grade 4's have been drawing a still life .The grade 5's working on a grid drawing of either a lion or a giraffe.
This has proved quite a challenge. The grade 6's  are working on a clay bust and the grade 7's have made coiled pots. Quite a busy time.

Art work of the week

The grade 4's have completed their sun and moon oil pastel drawings using warm and cool colours. Congratulations to Lisa Strauss 4D for her stunning work. Sorry it is on its side!

The grade 5's have had great fun this morning using our new lightboxes.

We are so excited to have done our first firing of glazed hands and hearts!

Watch this space

This week and next is hand in week for the Grade 4,5 and 6 calligrams. Children who have not managed to complete in the allocated time can catch up on Tuesday or Wednesday next week from 13h30 to 15h00 in the Art room. I will be posting pictures of the best projects next week.
